Dalia is a final year law LLB student from Kenya. She was First-Year Ambassador of KWIL in 2018-19, Vice-President in 2019-20 and is now President for this year. She is passionate not only about gender equality but also diversity & inclusion in general and hopes to channel this passion through KWIL. She enjoys being part of KWIL because of the opportunity to explore different career paths, while discussing diversity within the legal sector. She also joined the committee due to the friendly and supportive atmosphere it offered.

Shruthi Madhusudan
Vice-President
Shruthi is a second-year Law LLB student who is the Vice President for KWIL. Shruthi is from the UK and her Indian heritage is something she holds close to her heart. Immersing herself in KWIL in First Year, Shruthi was also the First Year Ambassador 2019-2020 and developed the ‘More than the City’ flagship event. Shruthi believes the welcoming and warm environment of KWIL is truly what makes it unique as a student society and she believes in propelling KWIL to greater heights this year. She has a particular interest in reaching out to Sixth Form students and increasing participation from male allies. As Vice President, Shruthi’s role involves supporting Dalia in her work and ensuring the Committee runs smoothly.

Czarlene Adoptante
Treasurer
Czarlene is a third-year History student, and is currently serving her second year in the KWIL committee from being the Head of Marketing to Treasurer. Being part of the society allows her to fulfil her passion of encouraging the discussion of gender diversity, while increasing awareness of KWIL’s values of inclusivity and empowerment within the legal industry. As Treasurer, she is responsible for liaising with sponsors and allocating the funds to pursue KWIL’s aims.
Czarlene is a third-year History student, and is currently serving her second year in the KWIL committee from being the Head of Marketing to Treasurer. Asfia Mohsin
Mother-Daughter Coordinator
Asfia is a second-year Law Student and is the Mother-Daughter Network Coordinator for KWIL. Having been closely affiliated with KWIL and a member of the Mother-Daughter Network herself in her first year, Asfia feels motivated to use the amazing platform provided by KWIL to inspire other young women to find their stand within the legal world and promote gender diversity. She particularly enjoys the camaraderie shared between all the members and the constant network of support that the society encourages. As Mother-Daughter Network Coordinator, Asfia is responsible for pairing students with female solicitors and barristers who want to support and advise these students in the advancement of their careers and education.

Olivia Arana Figueroa
Head of International Ambassadors
Olivia is a third-year law student, and is currently serving her second year in the KWIL committee as Head of International Ambassadors. Agota Lasaite
Events Coordinator
Agota is a second-year Law LLB student joining this year’s KWIL committee as Event Coordinator. She greatly appreciates that KWIL creates an environment where everyone is incredibly welcoming and supportive. Having been an active member of the society last year, she found that events on progress toward gender, ethnic and background diversity have gathered incredible panel discussions with professionals in various areas of law and is motivated to continue ensuring a welcoming, organised and engaging event experience for everyone. As an Event Coordinator Agota is responsible for managing attendance and event structure.
Agota is a second-year Law LLB student joining this year’s KWIL committee as Event Coordinator. She greatly appreciates that KWIL creates an environment where everyone is incredibly welcoming and supportive. Natalia is a penultimate year law LLB student and the Head of Marketing for KWIL. As the daughter of Spanish and Russian immigrant parents, she is passionate about diversity & inclusion and is proud to have grown up in the diverse city of London. She enjoys being part of the friendly environment KWIL provides, and is keen to use her role to spread awareness of the issues faced by minorities within the legal sector and encourage people from all backgrounds to get involved with the society and its events.

Publications Officer
Olivia is a second-year English BA student and the publications officer for KWIL. Having attended numerous KWIL events in her first year, she has been inspired by the society’s active celebration of diversity in various areas of the legal industry. Through the weekly newsletters, she hopes to encourage more students to engage with the plethora of events and opportunities that are provided by the society (including submissions to the KWIL blog!). She loves being able to work with an inclusive committee of like-minded individuals.
